Bella Bride: Lucy Diaz and Dave Flores

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!  Since today is the day for lovers, I thought it the perfect time to post the wedding of Bella Flora's owner and my sister, Lucy Diaz-Flores.  What a special day it was indeed with so many details captured by, Thisbe Grace, who did an absolutely beautiful job at capturing what was a day filled with "Amor'!

We definitely incorporated lots of Spanish accents throughout the wedding in keeping with the bride's Mexican heritage and the groom's Puerto Rican roots.  I love the elegant scroll work on the invitations which were letterpressed on handsome parchment and these Spanish black lace Louboutins!  Sign me up!

The bride carried a dainty bouquet of exquisite Cattleya orchids and wispy sprigs of sweet lily of the valley.
The bridesmaids carried bouquets of soft blush and pink all wrapped with taupe silk ribbons.

We kept the mothers decor equally stylish with nosegays crafted from garden roses and yummy cymbidium orchids.

The gents were given petite boutonnieres designed with freesia, mini hyacinths and lily of the valley sprigs.

The ceremony was held at The Hotel Crescent Court Courtyard and was festooned with all ivory and white flora fashioned into a dramatic walkway to the altar which was adorned with the most beautiful wrought iron gate and cascades of orchid garlands.  Once night fell, the heavy and glimmery candlelight decked in the trees and walkway really came to life.

Being Texas in October, the ceremony space was splashed with a surprise sprinkling of droplets that gave the walkway a cool mirrored effect.

A little rain never did not interfere with this gorgeous ceremony; I love how the white umbrellas added a charming whimsical touch.

Mr. & Mrs. David Flores!

The cocktail hour was doused with deep fuchsia tones for a festive look and walls were laden with symbols of love in keeping with the wedding styling.

We adorned this existing mirror with soft textured cascades of ivory orchids which was such a stunning backdrop for The Love Notes Wishing Well.

Mercury glass, boxwood orbs, majolica bouquets and gardenias adorned the pre-reception area.

Once guests entered the ballroom, magical displays of ivory, blush and creme welcomed them to celebrate.  Custom chair covers and linens adorned each setting and warm ambers and blushes decked the ballroom walls.

Centerpieces varied between two tall designs that featured orchid laden vases, submerged hydrangea displays and voluminous mounds of hydrangeas, roses, lilies, orchids and mini sprays.

The table numbers were tucked into soft pink orbs of majolica rosettes and each setting was then accented with a single soft pink garden rose for a nice dash of pretty color.

First dance as husband and wife! I love that Lucy rocked a cattleya orchid in her hair!

Once dinner was over, Havana NRG Orchestra, really got the crowd moving with Salsa beats and funk rhythms!

A sweet treat dessert bar featuring the cutest cake balls and mini bites ever were then brought out for  late night snackers with a sweet tooth.  Guests were then given these darling Love Note booklets that featured famous phrases all focused on love as the sweetest wedding favor.

Late nighters (myself included) were also treated to a cigar bar.  Perfect way to end a fantastic party! What a wedding!  I was so thrilled to design and create such a memorable day for my dear sister and brother-in-law.  All in the name of Their Sweet LOVE!
